VGN-FW11ZU's optical BD-Drive problem

Hi, after having installed on my computer, optical bd drive stopped reading / writing BD-discs, but it reads and writes DVD / CDs. What's the problem? Thanks for your reply!

Have you reinstalled the BD Player Software (WinDVD BD) and the BD Writer Software?

Hi, no i restored PC completely and after that came across with this problem.

If you have made a clean install you will have to buy new BD Player software (like WinDVD BD or PowerDVD Ultra) and BD Burner Software (like Roxio 9 etc.)

yeah, but restored my vaio to factory edition and i have all BD software to burn and read, but BD-drive doesn't even recognize blu-ray disc.

All I can suggest is that you check WinDVD BD for all updates then right-click on the WinDVD screen and go to Settings. Check you have version 8.0.20.169 installed.

Check you have the correct Region Code for Blu-Ray set - this can sometines get removed.
