I recently installed a new hard drive in my VGN-NS20E after the old one broke. I installed Windows 7 Home Basic x64 as the OS.
Everything seems to be fine, except the SD card reader on the front of the laptop doesn't seem to work. When an SD card is inserted the light beside it flashes green for a second then nothing. The reader doesn't show up as far as I can see in the device manager, even under hidden devices.
The SD card is good, as it works fine in other devices.
I've Googled the subject alot and haven't been able to find anything definitive. Tried various different drivers, none of which seemed to have worked.
Any help would be appreciated.
EDIT
Automatic updates are all on and everything is fully up to date, as far as I'm aware.

There aren't any official 64 bit drivers for your Vaio model, however you could try using the 3 Ricoh Memory Card Reader Writer Drivers from the Vaio FW, use the following link to download the drivers: Ricoh Memory Card Reader Writer Drivers
