I'm working in a HelpDesk and since a year ago, users who has a VAIO VGN-SZ71WN are having problems with the touchpad. Sometimes, the mouse right-left way become inverse; sometime before standby, sometimes before starting in stamina mode, sometimes before undock the laptop... When it happens, the left button of the touchpad fails.
I've tried to re-install the driver and/or install a newer version of it. But it doesn't work.
Someboby can help me?

From what I understand this is a hardware problem that is common to the SZ series.
There are users that have short term success with third party drivers from Synaptics but this is no long term solution.
If the machine(s) are in warrantee I suggest that you or the end user contact Support. Otherwise there is a fix involving insulating the touchpad from the palmrest. Click on the link below...
