Vista, worth the hassle?

I've received my Vista upgrade for my laptop, but reading through forums it seems people have nothing good to say about it. Apparently it's slow, the features are nothing special, and it just generally isn't as good as XP. Also, it apparently doesn't work well with a 1GB memory?

Before I go ahead with the install, is it really worth it?

Personally I would wait until some of the problems have been rectified but I guess the choice is yours..

In a couple of weeks time Sony will unveil some drivers, so I'd wait until then and check back here for people's reactions.
