Windows 7 and 3G on TT21WN

Hello,

I've installed Windows 7 on my Vaio VGN-TT21WN. It works great. However I can't figure out how to enable my built-in 3G modem. I've inserted a SIM card but the PC doesn't seem to find the 3G modem at all. Has anyone made this work?

Hi,

Thanks for your ideas. I've tried installing the drivers/utilities you suggested but the 3G modem is still not showing up. I wrote an email to Sony support but I haven't heard from them... 😞

Guess I'll have to call them instead.

Hello again,

Just spoke to Sony support and they don't support clean installs of Windows 7 on the Vaio model I have. So I have to downgrade to Windows Vista and upgrade the installation to Windows 7. This of course means that I have to purchase recovery CDs because I deleted the hidden OEM partition on my disk when I installed Windows 7 😞 Well... I'm going to try it and then we'll see what happens.
