Wireless connection

Hi
I have just purchased a new NS11J and am having problems connecting to my LINKSYS router. I am connected but with limited access i.e. no internet. Although it is showing an excellent full scale connection. Thanks

Hi W4RBT and welcome.

If you have the Intel 4965 AG&N wireless card I think you will find this driver update from Intel will fix the problem: -

Intel 4965AGN Ver 12.4.0.0

Do check in device manager first that you do have the Intel card - some NS-Series do and some don't.

EDIT: Just download and install the first driver (No 1)

Hi & thanks

In the device manager the only info I could find was Intel (R) Wireless WiFi link 5100.

Hi W4RBT,

This might help: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Product_Filter.aspx?ProductID=3062〈=eng

Also look for the wireless icon in the bottom right(the green and blue square). Double click this and if 5GHz is ticked then tick 2.4GHz.

Hope this helps, Mark.

Thanks Mark

Checked the wireless icon and the mode is showing 2.4GHz, Network linksys, speed 54.0Mbps wit a very strong signal.
