I have a VGN-A195EP notebook and I also have a Apple PowerMac G4 with an Airport card installed. The Apple Mac has a broadband internet connection and I would like to get both of them sharing the same broadband connection.
I know I still need a network router, but do I also need a PCMCIA card for the VGN-A195EP?
I'm new to wireless networking and would appreciate any help given.
Your laptop has a build in WLAN card. You don't need to buy a PCMCIA-WLAN card.
You could connect your VGN-A with the Mac via WLAN. But you must use the Mac as Router. Is the Mac off, then you can't use the internet. I think a DSL-Router would be better.
