WLAN with WPA on PCG-R600HFP??

I can not connect my PCG-R600HFP via WLAN using WPA. There is a ORINOCO Wireless LAN Mini PCI Card in it. The option WPA is not available in the WLAN menu. I run WIN XP SP2.

Does this problem come from "old" hardware? Or do I need a driver update or something similar???

Go to www.vaio-link.com and get the latest driver.

Thanks, but the driver I downloaded from vaio-link is dated from Aug. 2001. Pretty old and finally didn't help.
Any other ideas?

In "Network Properties/ Association Are you saying that DATA ENCRYPTION only has the option of WEP or DISABLED?

If so check out the box above that - NETWORK AUTHENTICATION

One thing - have you checked the box to "Use Windows to configure my Wireless Network settings". If not put a tick in that box.

"Network authentification" has two options: open or shared
"Encryption" has two options: disabled or WEP

The option menu does not change when choosing open or shared

Any ideas?
