WMC remote stops working for VGN-AR31M

2 day after using my new VGN-AR31M the windows media centre remote stops working. When I press the buttons a red light appears on the IR send on the notebook but nothing happened. Any ideas as to what happened and how I can fix it?

Same here, i have the same notebook and the same failure.
