After using the machine for just a couple of moths I noticed that when the NVIDIA card is used the fan gets "stuck" on max. This happens frequently. I'm sure it started after installing some software or driver, but the problem has not dissapeared after uninstalling what I do not need and system restore is not an option. I know there's something wrong because if I cycle through the three thermal control strategies the fan gets "unstuck" until it happen again. Processor is not used much and I'm not running 3d or rendering stuff (just office stuff). Sometimes not for half an hour, sometimes after 10 seconds. Presumably depending on the software I'm currently running and it's screen/painting "ethics".
Does anyone have any insight on this?
Hugely grateful for hint, becuse it's almost impossible to use the NVIDIA on this machine.
