Brand New WH-1000XM4 crackling and buzzing when connected to Samsung TV

Hey there,

So I bought these headphones last week...and have been loving them, using them with my phone for media and calls etc.

However, I recently purchased a gaming streaming service to play a recently released game which wasn't performing as hoped on consoles.  As a result, I figured I would use these headphones with that and connect to my TV.  After a few minutes, the audio starts distorting with crackling and buzzing...lasting anywhere from a minute to five minutes and then the distortion dissipates, only to return a few minutes later.

To say this is a disappointment is an understatement.  I notice there seems to be a fair few complaints about this.  For the price paid on these, this kind of issue is unacceptable.

Is it a software / firmware problem?  Is it the seals allowing moisture in?

I've only worn them whilst sitting working / playing / strolling around the house so I can't see that 'sweat' or 'condensation' would be an issue either.

Ultimately, if the problem persists, with no 'fix' on the horizon...I will be returning them to the seller.

I've read another post here last week about the same kind of issue with the same headphones and a Samsung TV. What was concluded is that it's a compatibility issue. If your headphones work well with other Bluetooth devices, I wouldn't fault them. If you can test other headphones with your TV it would give you a better idea.

Not sure what Samsung is doing to have the connection go "bad" in that way.
