Car stereo problem

Hello,

I've currently got a CDX-G1001U unit in my car. It's been in the car for about a year, maybe a little more. Recently had some work done on the car and this involved disconnecting the battery. Since then the stereo will switch on, play for about ten minutes, then it shuts itself off. I've been trying to get hold of someone to look at it but with no luck and I'm off on a long journey on Thurs, so would like some music to keep me company on the way.
Can anyone suggest what might be going on here? Is there anyone out there who can suggest a remedy for this? I have looked in the manual and can't find this listed in the troubleshooting section.
