I turn my speaker off either with the button or app and with in few seconds it turns itself back on in "rave illumination" mode. Have done factory reset but still the same. Have to disconnect power to turn it off. All works fine except for turning itself on!

That's interesting! Are you connecting any other external devices to the speaker? Is there any specific pattern for this behavior?

Meanwhile, I'll try to look this up online to see if any of the users had a similar problem.

I've been checking any similar issues with teh speaker, but couldn't find any. Are you sure you've had the speaker reset like it says on the User manual here: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/res/manuals/4597/c0e864310273cfb28d79f7bd428a3b40/4597264...? It's on Page 26

Also, after the reset while no devices are paired/connected to the speaker, do you face the same problem?

I have reset the speaker as per manual instructions. Deleted and reinstalled the app on my phone. Speaker works fine when on and paired but always goes into rave illumination mode seconds after I turn it off. Have to turn the power off. As I turn power on rave illumination comes on. Cannot turn the speaker on with the app have to press the power on button to activate the speaker and go to app settings to turn off rave illumination.
