Loading ALAC file from iTunes on my Mac to Walkman

Hi

I guess that this may be an old chestnut that has been raised many times.  However, I am looking to buy a Walkman but have all my music files stored on an Apple Mac in ALAC.  Will I be able to load these onto the Walkman (A45 or A55)?  I have read elsewhere that you can load iTunes, but in an ALAC configuration, I don't know?  Any help would be welcomed.

Roger

Hi Roger,

Both Walkman support Apple Lossless format.

Please refer to:
A45: (ALAC, 16 bit, 24 bit / 8 kHz - 192 kHz)

A55: (ALAC, 16 bit, 24 bit / 8 kHz - 384 kHz)

Thank you very much for this.

Was it the earlier A40 and A50 that had problems with ALAC?

Also, do you have a A45 or A55?  Are you happy with the performance.  I am looking to use with a bluetooth speaker (Vn 4.2, i guess).  Do you know which ones within reason, perform well with the Walkman? Please accept my apologies for these questions but I like to have my information in place before purchasing.

With thanks

Roger
