MDR-100ABN

I have just got a pair of MDR-100ABN and they won't charge.

I am using the inbox charger.

The plug is fully connected.

I have tried charging them from a Macbook Pro and an iMac.

This is the first time I have tried to charge them.

The red light comes on for a second or 2 and then goes off.

Anyone able to help?

Hi again

If you've tried different cables and the reset didn't work

then sadly the only option left is to give Sony Support a call,

(Or if you bought them from a store then contact the store if they are relativeky new

or in warranty with them)

Hi @mattnm and welcome to the Community

Do your Macs recognise the headphones?

Have you tried a different micro usb cable in case there was a fault with the one supplied?

They recognise them as in I have had them paired via bluetooth before yes. They don't recognise them when I plug them in if that is what you mean.

Yeah I have tried 2 different cables as well as the one that was supplied.

To add more confusion to the case. I managed to do a hard reset of the device holding down power + play. After that, they srarted charging and had a continuous light.

I thought that the problem was solved. I unplugged them to check the battery level, plugged them back in and the same thing is happening. Only this time, factory reset isn't working.
