MDR-EX110AP Button compatibility with OnePlus 3

Hello, the button on these headphones don't seem to work with the OnePlus 3 despite it supporting OMTP. Any ideas?

On checking the supported functions of the headset, I actually found a note in the User manuals saying that this function may vary depending on the smartphone. I guess in this case, you could use it with the recommended smartphones here: https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/wired-headphones-in-ear/mdr-ex110ap
