MDR-RF895RK RF Wireless Headphones

These earphones were delivered this week. Put the batteries in, plugged it all in     Put the earphones on the stand and left overnight to charge. Red light on. Trouble is red light never went off (it is 36 hours later). Tried connecting to my iPad anyway but getting no sound in any setting. Any ideas before I set fire to them ?

Turns out the John Lewis installers didn’t have a clue when they installed my tv, soundbar and earphones. They put the batteries in the wrong way round and put the output jack into the input plug. Morons. Fixed it and lo and behold it works!
