Hi,
I was transferring music to the walkman but when I disconnected it from the USB, it still thinks it is connected. The screen has frozen and I cant switch it off. Any ideas??

Hi goodwing, you could try resetting your Walkman. You should find the reset button on the back of your walkman once located use a pen or paper clip to gently press the reset button.
If you are still having an issue after resetting it could be that the battery needs charging.

Thanks, I reset and this has solved the problem.
My NWZ-E585 needed neither a reset nor a battery charge. The hold switch had become mechanically disconnected from the slider on the side of the body. The actuator on the switch is miniscule so I wasn't that surprised – the design could have been better.
To fix remove the two screws at the bottom of the back and gently prise the top off. Remove the two screws from above the display and carefully remove the back shell. Move the hold switch actuator down and the slider in the body shell down as well. Assemble in reverse order.
