Should I use superglue to re-attach buttons?

Should I use superglue to re-attach buttons?

On my Walkman model NWZ-E464 , the plastic cover for the D-Pad has come off completely.

I have had it since 2013 so the 3-month warranty has long gone.

I treat it with care, using a case and a screen protector, and it has never suffered any high drops or falls.

Here are some images showing the inside of the D-Pad after the panel came off:IMG_2005.JPG

Here are some images showing the back of the plastic panel itself:

The buttons themselves still work if you overlay the panel over the buttons like normal. I'm just looking for a way to re-adhere the panel to the buttons because the player still works very well and I'd rather carry out a small repair to fix this problem than spend £80 on an entirely new player.

Does anyone know how the plastic panel attaches to the buttons? I assume that Sony uses some type of adhesive liquid/glue (you can see gold spots of dry liquid on the left and right buttons in the images) but I don't know for sure which type they use. It needs to be strong enough that it re-attaches the panel but not so strong that the panel can't move down to press the buttons.
