Sony WH-1000XM3: water sensitive touch control.

I've had these headphone for nearly 2 years and the only problem which I have had with them is the touchpad. The touchpad is so extremely sensitive to water (small rain weather, having wet hair after showering, having wet hands after washing them, the list goes on...). As soon as a droplet of water touches the pad the head phones go bananas... they activate ambient sound cone, lower the volume, switches song, basically any touch command can happen without me even touching the pad.

These must be common troubles, it has a very cheap solution: implement an inactivation of the touchpad through the app. You give us control of what the ambient sound button should do, so surely this could be implemented in the app.

Sorry for rambling, but I'm tempted to open the headphones up to permanently remove some wires from the touchpad. Can anyone encourage this?

You can already do that.
