Just bought the Sony Wh-1000xm3 a few days after Christmas last year. When I plugged in to charge, the red light indicator would light up for a brief moment before shutting off, and my headphones would then be unable to recharge. What can I do to solve this issue?
Tried to change AC adapter?

As the battery life's been so good, I've not charged mine since the day they arrived but when I tried to this morning I had a similar issue - but only with the Sony supplied USB cable. When I plugged that in the light would flash, and/or just go out.
I then switched to an old micro-USB cable, with a USB-C adapter, and it charged just fine - using exactly the same USB port at my desk at work.
I'm not sure if you were using the supplied Sony cable, but maybe that's part of the problem?
Hi, i have the same problem as OP but what do you mean by "switched to an old micro-USB cable, with a USB-C adapter" ?. So the problem lies within the charging cable? and not the headphones itself?
