Just got a new car, connected my Sony NWZ-S765 Walkman to the stereo via 3.5mm jack connection, and there is a very loud hissing sound which makes it almost unlistenable. Same Walkman and cable worked fine on my old car stereo, and the new car stereo is fine on radio. I've noticed that if I insert the plug partially so that either the left or right channel, but not both, makes contact, there is no hiss. Likewise if I turn the Walkman off completely (if playback is stopped, but Walkman is left on, there is still a hiss). Any ideas?
