Does anyone know where I can get a connecting cable from or if there is a compatible cable

Do you mean a usb connection cable or the charger?

There are a few usb cables to online in different places eg. Here

(But I can't vouch for that site as I haven't used it)

Another good place is Ebay, although the cables I have seen are more expensive than the other example.
