will the NWZ-E585 work with the USB connector & Ford SYNC in my Fiesta?

I am extremely surprised how difficult it is proving to discover which devices will work with the audio system on my Ford Fiesta. The Sony documentation does not help, nor does the Ford dealer really have a clue.

some of the info about the Walkamn in general seem to imply that the USB connection will ONLY work for the transfer of files. Which seems very primitive.

Hi,

If you connect your walkman to a PC it acts like a standard hdd. In general car audio devices from various manufacturers are supporting this. Don't know what Ford Sync is doing exactly but I would asume the everything should work fine.

thanks PD the head unit is a Sony one but doesn't have a model number anywhere I can see ... what worries me is the bit in the NWZ documentation which says when it's connected via USB to a computer, then you cannot use it as a player ... John
