Notice for Xperia™  Tablet S released in September 2012

Dear SONY customer,

We  have  identified that a limited number of Xperia™ Tablet S that were  released in September 2012 may not meet the splash-proof specification  due to a minor space between the display panel and the back of the  product.
We are currently identifying the affected serial number  ranges and are preparing a voluntary free inspection program for the  impacted models.

This issue will not affect your normal use and continued enjoyment of the product.

Further  communication on the starting date for the free inspection program will  be posted onto our SONY support pages together with the affected  product serial number ranges as soon as we have them identified. We plan  to commence the free inspection program as of the end of October so we  can prepare and minimise the impact for you.
