UHD Blu-ray discs

Hi,

Anyone out there regularly viewing the ever expanding list of UHD movies on disc ?

Thoughts on the viewing experience and sound would be appreciated. Which movies are providing the best experience and what 4K capable equipment are they being played on ?

Sadly I have not seen a 4K UHD Bluray yet.  Cant afford it at the moment - need a new AV Receiver at some point first though.

Im also curious on what others think - is there a noticable step in quality over Bluray, like there was from DVD to Bluray.

Although I have managed to acquire a digital version of BBC's Planet Earth 2 in 4K HDR - looks fantastic.  Its X265 (HEVC) encoded and still the filesize for 50minutes is approx 15GB.

Hi,

i have the Sony blu ray player and don’t really think I get the benefit with the few Uhd films I have bought for the £10 extra over blu ray, but I do think it is worth the benefit for the upscaling of blu ray.
