Mic problems XA1 dual

Hello,

I faced with a mic problem in first day of using Sony Xperia XA1 dual.  Person on opposite side cannot hear me during call.  In loudspeaker mode is OK. After rebooting phone everything seems like OK,  until a problem appears again. Mic test passed successfully. It might be appears after using of speakerphones,  or after using "OK Google",  I do not know exactly.  Factory reset helps  temporary.   If anyone has any suggestions  how to fix it, please share.

Thank you in advance.

Hi @Ilya_cheb, sorry to hear this. Slightly_frowning_Face

Does this happen for normal phone calls or are you using an app such as Skype or a similar one?

If you could take a bug report next time this happens I can forward it internally for investigation.

To do this:
1. Go to Settings > About phone > Build number, tap 7 times on the build number.
2. Go back and select Developer options then select "Take bug report" followed by "Interactive report".

When the report is ready you will receive a notification. Tap the notification to share it. I suggest you upload it to Google Drive and then choose to share a public link to the upload and include the link in the PM.

I bought the SONY XA1 on April 8, and two days later my microphone was not work when calling with sim and applications like fb, viber or skype. And then I was exchanged a new phone. But after two days the problem recurs, after restarting everything is normal. A few hours after I make the call, it did not work. I think this is because of patch 40.0.A.3.7, since both of my phones updated this version. I reinstalled as originally, and for 2 days everything was fine. I hope SONY will check the patch and shipments SONY XA1 G3116. Thanks

I brought my xperia xa1 on 22 April at Malaysia, I got the same problem too, i made call with my friend, the mic work as well but after i switch to audio output, then switch it back to normal, then the mic is not working, and then i switch back to audio output, the mic work, however, it come with noisy noice sound, this problem also happen on third party apps like fb messenger that is the first problem.

The second problem, is wifi connection keep disconnecting, i used my old device xperia m don't have this kind of problem. XA1 some times will keep disconnecting when i make call using whatsapp or fb messenger or play game that need internet connection.

Im hope sony can give an update to xa1 user to fix it, i looking forward on it

Hi all,

You might experience that the person that you are talking to cannot hear you clearly during a Voice over IP (VoIP) call, when using message recording or the voice command. This will be fixed in an upcoming software update via FOTA and Xperia Companion. A workaround is to force the device to restart. Please note that software rollouts are a phased process so timings and availability may vary by market/carrier.

Hi,

I believe there is still an issue to the phone mic problem when  we use videocall function of whatsapp. Normal call seems to be ok. Tested the mic using Sony diagnostic and it is working.

Have already updated the phone to latest software, does not seems to work. When we use the handsfree earphone it seems to work perfectly fine.

Didnt know Sony phone is incompaitable with the most frequently used app. That is quite a dissapointment really.

Hoping someone can resolve this issue. Did a search over google, seems like a few people have already reported such issue but no resolution.

I get the same problem. Other person on a normal voice call cannot hear me well or totally blanks out intermittently. Very upset for spending so much money on a phone that does not do a basic job.
