Hi,

Like so many other people, the side of my screen has stopped working. I have tried all online suggestions with failed results. Can someone tell me how much it might cost to have my screen replaced by the local support center? My warranty finished last month (of course! ) and the hours of operation, available days and phone numbers are all messed up for Sony customer support. I just want an idea of what it might cost so I can make the decision to buy a new phone or not.

I bought a broken XA1, replaced the display and I also have this problem. So it does not necessarily help if Sony support "officially" replaces the display. I have read that people have sent their phone several times for display replacement and still the problem occurs.

It is definitely a firmware problem. I made all those touch screen tests and checked every item in that support page list. I have latest firmware and totally fresh cleaned phone after Software Repair in Xperia Companion.
