Do I understand correctly that it takes 8 hours to charge the device to full? If that is the case, are you charging the device using the charger and cable that was included in the box, or are you using another charger, or just a USB port on a computer? Charging the device using a wall mounted charger will always be faster than just charging it using a USB port on a computer.

You can try to either charge the device when it's powered off, or charge the device in safe mode and see if it still takes 8 hours to charge it to full.

One of following are reasons:-

1) If it was first charge of your brand new phone then its not a problem its usual for new battery.

2) If not case above then you might be using third party charger that make charging long.

3) Replace your USB cable it might be twisted or loose in port.

Hi @Satyaveer, totally agree with all your points and thanks for the help!

It's always important to use original chargers, both for the charging speed, but also to make sure that it's a safe charger to use and meets the industry standards/requirements, such as CE (Europe and EES).
