my screen is cracked with black stuff covering half the screen, making my phone pretty much unusable. I live in France so it may be different, but i would like to know where i can go to get the screen replaced or if repaired, and an estimate of how much it would cost.

So I'd strongly advise that you get in contact with your Local support and discuss the issue with them, as they are well-informed about your region's service pricing more than us on this global, user-based forum.

Hi @louisbouche, sorry to hear about what has happened.

As @Quester wrote, service cases are always handled by the Local support team in your market, as the warranty terms, service routines, cost for the repair and so forth may differ between markets/regions and since they are the experts on your market, they will be able to provide the most accurate information.

One thing to keep in mind is that if you visit a 3rd party repair shop, the warranty on the device will be voided, so I strongly recommend that you have it repaired at an authorized service centre.
