XA1 Bluetooth not picking up headphones

I got my XA1 just over a month ago, and I've been fiddling about trying to get my wireless headphones to connect to it. They worked fine with my previous phone (Sony M2), so there is no issue with the headphones (MPOW Antelope). However whenever I turn on bluetooth for my XA1, it cannot find any nearby devices. I've held the headphones right next to the phone, disconnected them from my M2 entirely so they're not trying to connect to that, and started everything from as close to factory settings as possible, but my XA1 still doesn't recognise that my perfectly good headphones are there. A lot of people have had bluetooth-related problems, what gives?

Do you have any issues connecting to any other bluetooth devices?

Yes, from the bluetooth devices I have tried, my XA1 has rarely been able to find the devices, and has never been able to connect to any.

Do you experience the same issues in safe mode?

Yup,  I bought my partner an XA1 for xmas and a set of bluetooth headphone.  Nothing.  Just wont recognise them.  This seems to be a rather annoying known issue I hooe Sony can resolve soon.  I am going to trek through a few more forums and try some more things here to try and get it to work Phone is spot on apart from this,  and It is a pretty large thing to mess up in my opinion.

try putting off wifi and then connect through bluetooth.

Once connected, then switch on wifi.

it seems the issue is when both features are running at the same time. Hope this helps.

I have same issue with my phone too xa1.
