Had to reboot the phone to unlock with PIN. Before reboot it let me enter PIN but it didn't unlock. This is normal PIN lock screen, without fingerprint.
Hi @TokiRi, I am sorry to hear about this.
If i understand your question correctly, It seems like you are not able to bypass a screen lock on you phone. If so, there is two possible measures that you can take in order to gain access to the phone again. However, both measures will result in complete loss of data, such as contacts, messages, images etc.
If you have access to a computer and are able to install Xperia Companion you can perform a software repair. Please not that you will need to start the repair without the phone connected to the computer and tick the checkbox in the bottom left corner of Xperia Companion saying "My device cannot be detected or started, or is a Smartwatch 3".
If you do not have access or the possibility to download Xperia Companion you can erase the data from your device using Googles' service Find My Device in order to gain access to your phone again. Simply log in to the service using your Google credentials, Click on your XA2 if you have more than one Android device connected to your Google account followed by clicking the Erase-option.
I hope that helped. Please get back to me if I have misinterpreted your question in any way!
Hi @Martin,
I don't need to go through steps you mention because the problem was resolved by rebooting and has not for now reoccured.
I just posted my experience as a bug report. Basically, for some reason lock screen stopped unlocking on PIN. After entering PIN it returned to lock screen.
The problem was resolved by rebooting. After reboot, it accepted the PIN.
Thanks.
I am sorry for jumping to conclusions and misinterpreting your post, @TokiRi.
But i am delighted to hear that you managed to solve it by rebooting the phone!
