2.1 update for X8 - backup and restore problems

I just updated my X8 to Android 2.1.

Two days ago I made a backup of contacts, messages etc...

But when I try to install the backup and restore I made two days ago it can't complete it.

I have my messages but my favourite contacts, timescape and widgets need to be reinstalled. And contacts which I have deleted a week ago are now reappearing on my phone.

I have logged in to my gmail and market and all of my apps are in there so that's not the problem.

It's like something is working and something is definately not.

I made the same update some days ago. This isnt the update to 2.1 firmware of android but probably a newer of 1.6,
But it seems to be much more sticky from the previous one as there are many problems as you mension before.

The main problem is that I cant load my contacts to my phone one friends of mine with lg gt-540 have the same problem.

It would be wonderfull if someone could gave us an answer or at least if we could load tha previous edition.

i think u got it wrong.........the android 2.1 update for x8 is not yet available........those updates are for x10 family which does not include x8......but they said it will be released later this year......

I know thats exactly what I said before but there is an upgrade for x8 thats doesnt appear in sonyericsson.com/update page but there is on "about phone"-->"Software update" in x8's menu.

If you havent make this update yet I would advice you not to do this.
