3G in Satio

Hi

I'm not able to see the option UMTS in settings--> Connectivity-->Network-->Network mode

I'm using a 3G activated SIM. and the Sim is detecting 3G when i used a different phone.

Why the UMTS option itself is not displayed in my phone.

Pls help.

Hi there,

UMTS (or dual mode) should be available in this screen. Have you tried another SIM in your phone? Additionally updating your software at the link below is recommended

To enable/disable the 3G network:

1. Select Menu > Settings > Connectivity > Network.
2. Highlight and tap Network mode.
3. To enable 3G, select UMTS. To disable 3G, select GSM.

Note: By default, Dual mode is set.

Can you please tell me why the UMTS option is not explicitly available in my Phone.

My model is U1i.

In every other phone there are 3 options available, namely Dual Mode, GSM and the third option is either HSUPA or UMTS or 3G.

If the UMTS option is not available in your phone I suggest that you follow Alex advice and update the phone software.
