Allow Sony Xperia SP Standby screen to remain on while charging or on car charger

How can I set my sony xperia SP standby screen to remain on while mains or car charging?  All my prevoius Nokia and HTC phones have had this facility.

Maybe app called Smart Connect by sony have that when you phone is on charger screen stays on for time you enter. I'm not shore, but you can try this app. It's on Google Play.

Go to settings scroll all the way down, if you see "developer options" tap on it enable by pressing the on/off button on top right, you'll see "stay awake" option on the third row check the box near it then it should stay on while charging.

If you don't see developer options in the settings, got to settings, scroll down, tap "about phone" scroll down and tap on "build number" repeatedly until a message appears stating that you are now a developer.
