Is there any place for posting a question regarding K800i or Xperia users are the only ones who can get any sort of help from this forum? Plz guide.

First of all, thanks for taking out some time for us- 'The old SE users'.

My K800i has got the 'Infamous' WSOD. I've already gone through hundreds of threads on various SE forums to learn more about this.

Infact around 2 years ago, this handset got completely dead,only red light on the right side used to blink. Then i sent this phone to Mumbai and it was repaired within 1 hour. When i received the phone, i was surprised to see that all of my text msgs and contacts were there. Nothing got deleted.

And yeah, they were NOT on memory card or SIM but in phone itself.

Now this time, i've got the prob of white screen. My phone vibrates 2 times and white screen appears and remains the same. I downloaded XS++ and this software shows my firmware, IMEI number etc. But no access to my SMSs and contacts. 'MyPhoneExplorer' doesn't detect the phone.

My concern is how to protect my text mssg and phonebook. I've read on all of the forums that its NOT possible to save the data because of not having any access to the phone. But as i just mentioned my own exerpience, 2 years ago they did repair it without detroying the data.

So i request you to please help me out. I don't have the contact number of the person who repaired my phone that time, But i am sure SE experts would be familiar with that trick.

Sorry sir but I don't know about no trick. If you can not start your phone and only getting white blinking screen there is not so much you can to via Sony Ericsson PC Suite.

I would have recommended you to try to update the phone software via Update service but the phone is unfortunately no longer supported in Update Service which means that there is no any tools for this model anymore.
