Attempting to sync new Aspen with Exchange 2007. When I hit sync, I get "Exchange Activesync has encountered an error. If this condition persists, please contact your Exchange administrator. Support code: 0x80070057"
Exact same settings work on any number of other WinMo phones, but the Aspen gives the error.
Any ideas?
As I understand this error is caused by the server due to it's set to require client certificates.
Therefore you are recommended to contact the Exchange administrator.
A possible solution for this is to set the Exchange server to ignore client certificates, but I suggest that you contact your Exchange administrator to see how you should configure this.
Thanks, but I don't think that's it. We have three Aspens giving that same error, but we also have a couple of Aspens that have worked fine, as well as a large number of non-S-E smartphones all activesyncing happily off our Exchange server. If it was a server-side issue, all activesync connections should be failing. All our Aspens have been configured identically out of the box, but half of them have errored.
If this works on some Aspen's but not on others I suggest that you reinstall the software in the handsets you experience problems with.
