Something strange happened a few days ago.
I fully charged the battery in the evening.
Then the next morning the phone (X 10) had switched itself off because the battery was completely empty. And I hadn't used the phone at all after charging it.
I hope it's one of those things that happen only once but it was very strange how the battery could empty itself like that. Anyone have any idea about how it could happen?
Get some task killer from the market and kill whatever you don't use. And check periodically if you forget to quit from some application.
Everytime the phone turns on it charges in memory almost all applications you have installed (I dont know why).
That is odd. It sounds like something is draining your battery... have you installed any apps or installed any widgets recently? I downloaded a battery widget of all things and it absolutely ate my battery up. Has it done it since or just that one time?
Hi,
There are a large number of reasons that this could happen. Here are a couple questions that could help make this easier:
1) Did you install any new applications? It's up to the developer to create the rules for battery handling. A poorly "coded" application that is running in the backgroud after you started it, may have been the cause (when you restarted the phone, the application was shut down.).
2) Did you use a different charger or wall outlet then usual? (maybe obvious, but this has happened to me)
3) Any wireless connections left on? Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-fi? All will have an impact regardless of use.
Just a couple things to think about.
Nope no widgets or apps installed since I bought it so that can't explain it. And as I said, this only happened ONCE so far on my phone. Still weird though.
Option number 2.... I was away from home so I DID charge it from another wall outlet. Could that explain it? Even though the phone said the battery was fully charged?
Anything is possible, and you may never know for certain.
Of course, the phone should never have an issue accepting a charge, or displaying the correct charge.
If it happens again, let us know.
