Battery is dead

It's time for me to move on. The battery died on me and I didn't feel like investing in a new battery. Too bad I can't replace it myself.

At the CES 2016 I was hoping for an announcement for the Z6 Compact, but there was no new Compact at all.

Now I have settled for the LG G5. USB-C with quick charge and IR port. Too bad it isn't as compact as the Z1 Compact.

Will I ever be back? Who knows.

I assume that the next phones from Sony will have USB-C and I hope there will be a Compact in the future.

IR would be nice, but more and more devices can be controlled through Wifi.

I will miss the compact size and all the goodies that Sony has given me through the years.

There were some nice themes (backdrops) and I've had some fun with the AR themes.

Too bad I never won anything with the Xperia Lounge app. 😉

In my opinion Sony defined the compact phones. Samsung and LG only released watered down compact phones.

Now that Apple also joined the compact bandwagon, I hope Sony realises there is still a market for the Compact line.

Should have gone Z5 compact, it's a beast for its size

I would have bought the Z5 Compact in a heartbeat, if it had a USB Type C connector.

I have a laptop with a Type C charger and now I can charge my LG G5 with the same charger.

In 2016 I decided that all my new devices should have USB Type C.

The only exception was the Sony HDR AS20 Action Cam, but at that moment there was no action cam with USB Type C.

But I will keep an eye on Sony for my future phone.

This will be my last post in the Z1 Compact forum, but who knows where I will pop up in a year or so. Waving_Hand
