Hi folks. I am able to pair with other mobile devices, and my mobile bluetooth device in my car is paired with my X8 but I am not able to use my car device to make calls. I can only make the call directly from my X8 which in turn registers with the car device and connects the call. More importantly, whilst I do get a connection, there is no speaker volume through the car. For teh record, all other mobile phones work through the car device...:smileyconfused: I do hope someone can help!

Hi,
What other phones are you using? Are they also Android?
What is the car bluetooth system you are using?
Let me know and I'll look into it!
Hi.
Thanks for your reply. Other phones are Sony Ericsson K880i, Sony Ericsson Elm. Both work fine. Don't know the name of car system but the car is a Peugeot 407, 2007 model. Can't understand it! You'd think the newer mobile would be compatible! Am very disappointed... Can't even get bluetooth headsets to marry with it!!

Hi,
Not even BT headsets can pair with it? What can you do with the phone BT? Have you transfered files with a PC or other phone?
It looks like the bluetooth system in the car is called "RD4 Radio" but I can't seem to find out if that system supports the Android OS (Your other phones are the "Java" OS we often use)
Can you try another Android phone in the car? It could be from anyone... HTC, Motorola, etc. to see what happens?
Hi.
Don't have other andriod phone to try. All other headsets work with car set. Bluetooth is pairing with Son Ericsson ELM no problem and allows picture transfer no problem. I upgraded X8 files on sonyericsson online yesterday and am getting absolutely no connection in-car at all now. It is annying and frustrating but I refuse to return the phone as I love it otherwise!! Will just have to use headphones. Bit of a pain and would love to get it sorted but when all else fails...

I suggest that you check with Peugeot if you model of Bluetooth device in the car is compatible with your phone model. They have compability lists on their homepage.

This is an easy way to see if your phone model is tested as compatible with your Bluetooth device.
