caller image selection (portrait, Landscape)

Hi, i brought z2 a couple of weeks ago, it works fine until yesterday when  i capture a photo and tried to make it a caller image for a contact it rotates into landscape mode, so i can't crop that face because i took the picture in portrait mode. this is absent when i do the following: contacts> edit a contact> use camera, the way then i took the photo, it works perfectly, but when i select > choose from album, and select a photo which i took in portrait mode, it then rotates 90 degrees and asks me to crop it. also i also noticed that when i open file commander and go to the source of that photo, change the view as grid, i see those photos which are taken in portrait, they are rotated into 90 degrees, but when they are viewed in album or photo editor they appear as portrait or landscape accordingly. the problem is in the contacts when to choose caller image from album. portraits are just rotates in landscape without rotating the screen.this problem was absent at first. i noticed it yesterday.   i don't know why this is happening, i tried factory reset but it dosen't help... any help would be appreciated.

Sony Support Team,

I am facing the same problem as mentioned above. When I tried taking new pics in Landscape mode its setting as expected in the Contact Image. But those pics which already exists in my SD Card they rotate as Portait mode while attaching it to the contact.

I tried doing google for any solution/alternate way but there was no luck.
