Cannot hear any thing

Hi all,

I recently updated my Xperia Tipo to versio  11.0.A.6.8. Honestly speaking my phone became more unstable after that.

While watching you tube it restarted automatically. After next morning onwards i could not hear any thing from the ear peice. The person at other side also cannot hear anything which i speaks. It works perfectly with headphones and speaker. Since person at other side can hear what i  speak with speakers on, i think this is a software problem.

Can any one help me?

Couple of options you could try, first is go into service menu and test out the speaker from there.  To access this open up your phone dial pad and tap in *#*#7378423#*#* (basically spells out service) then select Service Tests and then speakers and earphone etc.

The other thing you can try at home is to repair the phone using either PC Companion or Update Service which will reset the phone back to factory settings - just make sure you have backed up everything you want to keep first as it will wipe your phone.

If none of this works then it probably needs looking at in one of Sony's service centres.
