Really sorry!!

I typed the heading then something went wrong with my computer (probably the user!!!!!!!!)

I want to disable the previews of mesages which show on my lock screen.  Messanger has this ability in its settings but I can't figure out how to do this for Text, Facebook or Mail.

I should add that I updated to Lollipop a few days ago

Any ideas?

Go to settings > sounds and notification > tap on when device is locked and select don't show notification at all. I hope you were looking for this.

Thank You Komil, it looks like this has worked.

Ideally I'd like to see the relevent message icon in the top bar in the lock screen but I guess this isn't possible?

No problem 🙂 well what to say, its a new version of os with new ui. So we need time to get used to it.
