My housemate has the Xperia Z5 Compact phone, but he is very annoyed at the battery life - it lasts about half a day. And this from a phone which boasted a "2 day battery life".
Anyway he asked me to have a look at it, which I did. I noticed in the Power settings, where it shows the battery charts/graphs for things like WIFI, GPS On, Mobile Signal etc, the bar titled "Awake" is filled constantly. So this means the phone is always awake, and I can't work out why.
First I updated it to Android 6.0 Marshmallow hoping that might solve the issue, but it hasn't changed anything. It is still showing as constantly awake on the chart in Power Management settings. What would be causing the phone to stay awake? It can't be anything to do with WIFI as my phone has WIFI on all the time, but it still goes into sleep mode when the phone is off. Even when his screen is off, the phone appears to still be awake, which would surely explain why the battery is running down so quickly, but why would this be happening? Any help much appreciated.
Charge it 100% > boot in > safe mode for 2-3 hours > and see if you experience the same issue.
