hi im experiencing a problem that is kinda a big deal for me cause i bought the arc so i could watch movies from its big screen while in the gym or whereever in a such a way that i wont have to hold it up
cause lets face it hold the fone for an hour to watch? i'll get tired. lol. anyways.
i found out that its default or built in video player cant play the videos in full screen. or maybe i just dont know how to make it do so. in which case how do i make the built in video player it play in full screen? i've tried video players from the android market but the thing is, they do playback in full screen but then they dont rotate the screen in the desired orientation such that the 3.5mm connector for headphones would be upwards. the default playback orientation of video player apps puts the 3.5mm jack downwards in such a way that i cant have the arc placed vertically or inclined on the table (or on an object similar to a book holder ) to watch in the gym or in the office. only the built in video player follows the orientation of the screen. if you could kindly forward this to your programmers (if possible. hehe) and suggest to them to place full screen playback (or stretch capability) mode on the built in video player. i say that easy enough to do. thanks a lot!
thanks but the link you gave sn't working. 😃
for some reason it was pulled from the market

Thanks!

I have the same issue so I downloaded this Summer Player you suggested. Whilst it does now allow some videos to be shown at full size (those previously recorded on another phone), so made some progress, I really want to play converted vro files at full size and whilst this program gives a screen aspect ratio change function, they are still not full size. Is there something else I should be doing or using a different resolution size say in the conversion when used in conjunction with this program, I used 480x854?
once you play a video at the bottom left you should be able to see a square with to arrows, if you tap on it it will take over the whole screen, you can also use formatfactory on your pc to change the format of your videos
Thanks and yes I can see the icon you mean with 2 arrows, as I said it now plays some videos at full size but not those converted from vro files. I am using DVDFreeSoft Video to Sony convertor but should I be using a different resolution other than 480x854? If I can't get this to work properly I may as well return the phone as this was the main reason I upgraded as there was nothing wrong with my Nokia!
just use format factory and covert them to either MPEG or AVI
