Headset not working

I have a new tipo dual and my Koss porta pro wired headset with microphone does not work with it.

Problems:

1. The other person does not hear my voice when I use headset (but I can listen to his voice).

2. The other person gets an echo of his own voice when I use headset (but without headset it works fine).

Questions:

1. Is there an adapter that will make Koss porta pro with mic working with the tipo dual? where can I buy it?

2. Is there another wired headset with microphone that will work with the phone? where can I buy it?

3. Is there a software update to the phone that can fix the problems. where can I find it?

the headset might not be compaitble with the phone, have you tried the headset with other phones?

I guess this headset uses the OMTP standard, while the phone uses CTIA standard. There are adaptors out there which makes it possible to use a OMTP headset with CTIA phone and vice versa. It's a hardware difference so software won't help.
