Hi I cannot locate File Manager under Organiser on my C903 can anybody help me please?

I have tried to locate File Manager under Organiser on my C903, but I have had no success. I have reinstaled the software twice now but it has made  no difference on the results. It might well be a problem with the software and in the manual it says go to Menu then Organiser and then File Manager. No File Manager Can anyone help me  please? Many thanks John

Is your phone network-branded because customised phones may have a different menu layout? If not, try phone repair via PC suite and see if the Organiser appears on the main menu. What is there before or has it always been like that?

Well this is part of the 3Mobile network, so it might well be the case that the settings are different.

But one should be able to still organise ones personal data and internet page options using the File Manager

to say save the data say to an M. card as opposed to usiing up all the internal phone memory.

So what options do you have on this customised menu (what's in place of the Organiser?)? Did 3 not give you a manual with your phone?

In response, I already have Organiser under Menu, and in Organiser  I have the following options:

My Stuff/Alarms/Video call/Calendar/Tasks/Notes/Synchronisation/Timer/Stopwatch/Calculator/Code memo.

But No File Manager and from what the instruction pdf manual states there should be File Manager as well.

However this is not the case. So maybe I will have to go to me network provider to see if they can help, what do

you think?

The manual refers to the generic software menu but obviously 3 has replaced it with its own customised software, which is very annoying and something networks should be prohibited from doing by the manufacturer. In any case, under the Organiser on your phone, the File manager seems to be replaced by My Stuff, so what happens when you select this and then click left/right on the navigation key? If you get no joy out of this, see if you have the Memory status option, from the options of the My Stuff tab: this should enable you to see phone memory and memory card separately and move files between them.Otherwise, connect the phone via USB to the PC, either in PC/Phone mode to PC suite or in File transfer/mass storage mode directly to the PC.Either way, this way at least you should be able to see your phone memory and memory card as separate drives and be able to transfer data between them and the PC.

Thank you aavery much for your detailed response.

In reply, yes I also had the feeling that 3Mobile network has tampered with the Sony Ericsson software.

And from what you are saying about the MyStuff menu It seems as you say that 3 has replaced the File Manager option with MyStuff.

I am certainly not very happy about this I will get on to 3Mobile and ask them to explain why they have changed Sony's software.

I will also ask them as to how I can completely uninstall the 3Mobile software from the phone.

Anyhow I would like to thank you very much for all your advice on this matter. Thank you.

No worries! But don't bother wasting your money phoning 3; they're only going to tell you that this is the way they saw fit to rearrange the software. If you want to debrand your phone, you can do this but unfortunately it will void your warranty because your network won't do it for you.

That is not a problem for me, I don't have a warranty for the mobile that I use., I only have a monthly sim contract with 3mobile

and I can cancel that anyway if I have to. Anyway again thanks for you help!
