Why are you worried about O2 taking you back? With an unlocked phone, you can use one of their PAYG SIM cards and get all the settings off their website via sms.Unless of course you're talking about a contract SIM.

You can always port your number to another SIM/Network.

Just had a quick look and found that Orange have the Jalou on their list, so settings are available for mms and internet through their network. So if you're interested, just get an Orange PAYG SIM card and then ask Orange to port your old O2 number to the new Orange SIM.Hope this is useful.

It's just an expression. It means that you can transfer your old O2 mobile number to an Orange SIM card.

hi

thanks for the explanation

I really have to stop and think now, when I was with o2 everything was fine and I could send as many photos as I wished-or could afford!

I still have money on my phone paid to virgin so I will keep with them til the money is almost spent

if I do the orange thing I may still be in a mess as virgin now say there is no way I can send photos from my phone using them, yes I so thin this is a lazy cop-out and I will contact someone again

however this weekend I plan to get off the computer and phone and spend time with philip

on monday I shall start again

thanks and have a lovely weekend and I will probably need help on monday!!!

mucah appreciate everything

As I said before, Orange does have mms and internet settings for the Jalou, so you won't have a problem with them.

hi

hope the weekend was good for you

please I now need clarification

my phone sent photos when I was with O2

it will not with virgin

you have kindly suggested orange has the settings

if I do this how will this help me send photo messsages from virgin

will it not be just to orange ,like the  o2 was to O2?

am sorry but I do not understand how getting settings from orange will help me with virgin

sorry to be silly

I am really bad with all the technology

thanks I do appreciate your help

What I meant is to switch to the Orange network--forget Virgin and forget O2.(You can't use settings from one network for use with another network). Since you have an unlocked phone (i.e., you can insert a SIM card in your phone from any network you wish) all you have to do is purchase a Pay as you go Orange SIM card from a shop, put it into your phone, register the SIM card with Orange and get the settings for mms and internet from their website.I hope you now understand the situation.
