I don't know how to record audio in my Sony xperia E1

I bought Xperia E3 recently but found that it's sound is not loud enough. Both recorded sound as well sound of downloaded music appears very low and to listen it clearly most of the time, I keep noise setting at highest level. It's speakers are poor. How can I improve it.
