How to recover contacts from a W995 with a broken screen?

The screen on my W995 is broken but the phone itself doesn't appear to have any issues. I need to recover my contacts, the computer recognises the phone and I have been able to recover the photographs but for contacts it says I require to be in 'phone mode' and I can't see where that is! Any ideas on how to recover the contacts? Thanks!

It will be quite difficult to change to phone mode when the screen is broken.

But you can try to slide the phone open and press the main button (middle, play/pause button) > # - on the key pad > 5 > 3 > main button > press up once > press main button.

Then try to connect to your PC again.
